Why hello there, I am Antwerp! It’s an unusual name but I was named after the street I was found on. When I was saved, I was very skinny and someone had chopped all of my fur off. I’m not sure why they did that…I was pretty goofy looking, but that’s ok because I am goofy kitty that loves having fun. My rescuer took me to the vet, and they say I have FeLV. This means I have Feline Leukemia, it’s a virus that weakens my immune system. I likely contracted it from another kitty while living out on the streets. FeLV is contagious to other cats, so I am looking for a home where I can be the only cat of the house, or I can live with another cat that already has FeLV.
I’m a really friendly guy, and this special need has made it so hard to find my forever family. I don’t want to wait any longer because I am so full of love. Did you know that I have been in three foster homes already? My only issue (besides that pesky FeLV) is that I get excited and play rough sometimes, and give pretty good love bites, so I can’t be around kids. I will jump in your lap, and then get down and run around and play, so I am not a boring dude.
I know if you meet me, you will want to adopt me, so give my foster mom and dad a jingle. I can’t wait to meet you!
