Hello there! My name is Abigail! I’m a sweet, gentle, beautifully fluffy kitty, and all the shelter humans say I have the softest fur in the world. They can’t keep their hands off me, and I like that just fine! I love attention and lap time. I enjoy window views, being brushed/scratched/petted, lounging, and playing. What can I say? I’m a happy cat!

I am feline leukemia positive (FeLV+), but I am not sick. The shelter humans and vets say that I am not supposed to live with or be exposed to other cats who have not tested positive for the virus, but I get along just fine with my FeLV+ friends! I have a kitty or two in mind if you are looking for more than one, but I would also be happy as the only kitty in your heart and home!

My luxurious fur does require light grooming to keep small mats from forming in the longest areas, and the shelter humans seem to enjoy this as much as I do. I will even roll over so that they can brush my tummy! I’ve heard that most cats don’t like this, but I think it’s great!

My medical needs are not too demanding. I should see a vet twice a year, even when I’m doing well (as opposed to once annual check-ups). The shelter humans are more than happy to discuss details and answer questions regarding the needs and care of a feline leukemia positive kitty. I am hoping to find a person who wants to be my best friend forever and who isn’t afraid of my FeLV+ status.
