Hi! My name is Ana! I hope you will take a look at what I have to say! I was abandoned on the streets of Puerto Rico a few years ago. A local family tried to watch out for me because I lived in a secluded area and was relatively safe. I had at least two litters of puppies that were all rescued before me because they were cute and cuddly, and I guess they didn’t think I was anymore. I spent years on the streets, and finally when the area I lived in became unsafe the family that watched out for me contacted Save a Sato for help. I was so happy to fly to New York! I just knew that things were going to get better for me!

I have been waiting at the shelter since 2016 and I am sad because I still get overlooked. People think I am too old. But I have SO MUCH life left in me! I play and am as energetic as any puppy! The people at the shelter think I’m hilarious because I throw toys, and roll around on my back and do silly little things to make them happy!

I have a scar on my back where the hair doesn’t grow back. I don’t remember why I have it, but I promise it doesn’t take away from how cute I am!

I think I would like a family of my own with no other dogs or cats. I do like SOME dogs, but I am used to being by myself so I really, really like to be the center of attention.

Overall, I am a happy, very healthy girl! I can walk with you, cuddle with you and be your very best friend, if you would give me the chance!
