Hi! My name is Bagera. I am sweet, playful, and love to talk and cuddle. I’m an alpha cat, so I need to be the only cat in my forever home. Much that I do needs to happen on my time, my terms, and I need to be upfront about that. If you are a person who respects and admires a confident, independent nature, we will have a fun, loving time together. I can hardly wait! I love to play with the laser pointer, and if by chance a bug sneaks into the house, I will chase it down for you. I like heights, so a tall cat tree or a path to the top of a bookcase or lofty shelf makes me feel contented and in control. I’m comfortable stretched out on the floor, as well, where I can roll about, encouraging you to pet me and scratch me under my chin. I will greet you, brush against you to be petted, then gently purr to let you know how happy I am with your response. I’m not keen on being picked up, however, and if you try, I will twist and squirm until you set me down. I get along fine with dogs. At first acquaintance, sudden movements of young children frighten me, and I will go hide; but, once I get to know them, I am fine. I love treats, so if there is something you want me to do or reward, there you go!

You may notice a kink at the tip of my tail. This break has been with me since birth and does not cause me any problems in any way. It has been dubbed my little periscope. I am so cute! Please take me home.
