Description:

Hi, my name is Beardsley! Please pick me up and hold me close - I love being held, and I’m so tiny that you can carry me all day while you go about your chores, and that’s fine with me. While I’m a quiet and patient kind of guy, and even quirky, I love to explore and investigate things in a deliberate kind of way. I play, too, if you wave feathers or drag strings for me, and I love to roll balls. I know, I look a bit of a shambles, but that’s just me. The staff here at Cat Adoption Team give me baths and brush me, but I still come out looking like a mop. I don’t know, I think my looks are kind of endearing myself. And I have the coolest furry slippers!

Shelters usually don’t see us Persian cats; people love Persians and take good care of them and see that they don’t become strays. So why am I here? Well, I’m embarrassed to say it’s a behavioral problem regarding litterboxes: I struggle to understand them. I tend to pee and poop just anywhere and that is a deal-breaker for most people. Staff at the shelter have been working with me and with my arrangements to try to help me use litter boxes, puppy pads, or anything at all that’s predictable, but mostly without success. Thus, whoever adopts me must understand that this will probably be an ongoing condition and they will have to have in mind a pretty clear idea how they are going to deal with it. Still, in compensation, I’m about the cutest and cuddliest, not to mention mopsyest, cat you will ever meet. And I am a Persian! Come meet me at CAT and see for yourself.
