Bonjour! My name is Cookie, and they say I’m a lovely southern belle. I was rescued from a hoarding case with 35 other dogs and have the characteristics of a sweet, well-mannered, quiet young lady. I’m a little reserved when meeting new people, but warm up quickly, and I adore children (check out this YouTube video of me with some kid friends: https://youtu.be/2sL8zrvqLN8). I’m submissive, and get along well with other dogs and cats.

X-rays of my back show I have an old injury (nerve damage) at the base of my tail, which leaves me unable to feel when I have a bowel movement. These accidents are very rare with a high fiber diet, and a good routine with several opportunities to go outside, especially after eating. I enjoy quiet walks and sitting quietly by my human buddies.

I’d really love a forever home and family of my very own. I’m so grateful the rescue saved me, but I know there has to be a family out there looking for a new best friend like me! Could you open your heart and home to me?
