I’m Corey – I love people and people love me right back! But for some reason I haven’t found my forever home yet. My foster mom’s friends suppose it’s because I’m an old man. But I think I’m still young at heart- I like to snuggle, I like to fetch, and I like to play tug-o-war, just like the young’uns.

I love curling up on the couch with my people and watching TV (well, kind of watching… I normally doze off not long after the show starts). What I do NOT love so much is when my people leave me… I know somebody’s got to pay the bills – not me, I’m retired – but it’s so lonely being at home alone. A Kong full of cream cheese in my crate den puts me at ease, though.

Walks are the best! I love the sun, and the wind, and the squirrels we encounter. I don’t mind the tiny little dogs like me we see, but sometimes we see a crazy big one and they’re so intimidating. But we normally take a different route and keep on our merry way. Sometimes Mom tells me it’s too dark and stormy to go for walks, though…and then I hear the thunder and the lightning and I hate it! It makes me so nervous. Mom says I get “whiny,” but she says that when I’m excited about walks too.

I may be anxious and old, but mom says I’m also sweet and goofy and they hope someone else will realize how special I am too! I’d love to meet you!
