Hi there! My name is Espy, and I have had a very rough start in life. I am a loving, sweet girl and ready to find a home of my own! I am about 5 years old and was rescued by a few different groups. I was found on the streets of Mexico and brought up to California, and then to Oregon.

I have a protein deficiency and some Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which means I have to have a special food (limited protein). I’m looking for someone who is very dog-savvy and maybe has a background in veterinary medicine, and who is home frequently, or works from home. I’ll need time to adjust from being a street dog, to a rescue dog, to a dog living on a farm and now to your special friend. I have had the chance to live indoors in a house at the farm and really enjoy it! By the way, I’m happy to say that I’m crate trained too.

I have had lots of veterinary visits over the past year and am up to date on all my vaccines, as well as my lab panels (to see if they could figure out why I had such a hard time gaining weight) I’m also microchipped and spayed.

I am a cuddle bug and love the attention lavished on me by people of all ages! I get along with other dogs and have been told I have a “wiggle butt” that shows just how happy I am.
