Description:
Hi! My name is Gordon and I’m an 8 year-old Chihuahua mix. My rescue story started in October of 2015, when I was surrendered to a high-kill shelter in Southern California called Downey. Thankfully a few months later, I was one of 14 lucky dogs who was saved by Felines First Rescue.
They had me checked out by a special veterinary eye doctor who told me that I have macular degeneration. That explains why I’d been so “grumpy” lately. I can’t see much anymore and what I can see is blurry. I don’t mean to be snappy, but sometimes I get scared because I can’t see things coming at me.
As much as I love my foster mommy, her kids and other animals are just too active and busy for me. So I’m in search of my furever family. It’s a lot less stressful to just sleep, so I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. I’ve also started barking more, but there are just so many noises that I can’t see and identify! I’d love a family that feeds me yummy, nutritious foods, who will help me learn how to be a better “blind dog” and who desires my love-I LOVE to love my humans and shadow them around the house. My current foster mom trips from time-to-time because I always want to be right there with her. Can you give me what I need?
