Description:
Hello there, I’m Grampa. Some may call me ancient but I don’t mind, I consider myself wise. Like anyone with some years on them I have some ailments. My bones are arthritic—my backend especially—and the docs said I have a leaky gut—at least that’s what I think they said, I’m deaf too.
Since I joined Wagging Dog Rescue they’ve taken me to a holistic vet and with some supplements and good nutrition, I’m feeling great. I spend most of my day snoring away but I do looooove my walks. I get 2-3 a day (just around the block) and I’ll remind you if it’s time. My foster family thinks it is cute how I gallop to the door when I’m ready, even if they are not.
I also love chewing on antlers, sticking my nose out of the car window, and showing the world that I’ve still got it by catching airborne treats faster than you’d believe possible.
I’m wise enough to appreciate and want to be around my humans, even when I’m sleeping. I don’t mind being home alone for a few hours but I’d much rather be in whatever room you are in, unobtrusively snuggled in a soft bed and offering unlimited moral support. I’d be soooo happy if my folks were home a lot, worked from home or were retired!
I get along great with dogs and cats and probably just about all other life forms but stairs are not my friend. At this age, a calm home environment with older children would be best for me.
I will need some extra TLC. I get a regular shot of Adequan once a month and take some supplements too. But it’s no biggie! I’m looking for big-hearted forever family in Southern California.
