Kimba

Hello! My name is Kimba. I came to Animal Care Sanctuary in 2012 along with another husky that was rescued from a bad situation. I have a few stories that are told about my past; one was that I was a Christmas present for someone who decided to chain me to a tree where I spent most of my days tied out and with a muzzle on. I have been at the shelter for some time now and have had a few interested in me, but none that followed through. I was even in a foster for a few months, but I kept getting into trouble with the other dog in the home. I guess I loved him enough to play and be buds, but when he barked I didn’t like it.

I’m super affectionate to the staff that cares for me, I love belly rubs and being brushed and I will tell you when I have had enough. My favorite thing to do is play SOCCER! Staff usually kick the ball for me and I will block it like a goalie and nudge it around the yard with my nose. I’ll even bring it back to you so you can kick it for me. Oh! And I love the water, so I need a kiddy pool for hot days.

I am not a fan of cats and I can be kind of a loner, contemplating life and watching the world through the window, so I do not need constant attention. I also had two incidents with people trying to take my food or toys and I got in trouble when I bit them. I swear I don’t mean it, I just don’t understand why people take stuff that isn’t theirs.
