Hello! My name is Mika and I LOVE tennis balls. Chasing them, chewing on them, fetching them, and sleeping with them. Tennis balls are AWESOME! The humans here at the shelter sometimes have to remind me to share but this is the one thing here that I truly love and is mine. I get a little overexcited with tennis balls but they are just a blast! Who would blame me, right?

I also love humans and that they seem to like to pet me. I’ll take that all day long. I love being active and getting in a good solid exercise every day. It does the body good! I can’t wait to have a family of my own soon. I am selective and slow to warm up to other dogs but just give me a chance I will come around.

I see hundreds of people pass by my door and no one gives me a second look. I just don’t get it. The staff here at the shelter say I’m overlooked and I guess that’s true. Being in the shelter is a safe place and I get good food but it doesn’t compare to a home.
