Description:
My name is Mikey and I’m a very special and loving male greyhound. I just turned 5 this May 2017. I’m quite a handsome boy and am told I’m the sweetest. I’m soft, friendly and very lovable although a tad bit shy. Loud noises and busy streets scare me, but my Foster Mom is helping me to learn how to deal with these scary events. I have a digestive issue that requires stomach herbs and medication twice a day. I need to be restricted to the same food and same treats with only organic plain yogurt, eggs or peanut butter as the extras allowed.
I am a “Velcro dog” and love to lean against my Foster family to get ear and back rubs. I also have a heavy head that I like to rest in your lap whenever you allow me to. Even though I am shy, I do love everyone and want to be pet by both children and adults. I like other dogs, but they really need to be bigger ones. Small dogs remind me of squirrels and cats, both of which I would love to chase. So I can’t be in a home with small dogs or cats. However, I really need to have a canine companion or I will get separation anxiety when my humans leave me alone. I am just too social to be an only dog.
If you can give me a lot of love and attention, give me my medication, and make sure I’m not fed any other foods than those approved, I promise to love you and be by your side for the rest of my life!
