Description:

Hi, my name is Murray & I’ve been looking quite a long time for my person. I know you are out there and I’m not giving up.

I’m a big, mellow, 8-year-old fluffy black male kitty. I love to explore, and love to find you when I’m ready for some pets, some treats, or some attention. I don’t mind being picked up but I’m not real into being squished with a strong hug (who is?). I do like to be held and carried around from room to room, if you want to be my personal porter. I love lying in the sun, on the couch, or in a soft bed, and to follow you around like a dog. Sometimes I just get so happy I take off like a rocket, and run through the house just for the joy of it.

My owner died, and his widow threw me outside to live. That made me really sad, I missed him so much and I don’t understand why I had to go outside. Fortunately, I was rescued by kind neighbors. I was bullied a bit out there and I got FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus). I’ve been told though that with a few precautions, I will lead a normal, happy life. My immune system can be protected by keeping me as an indoor-only kitty. The virus can’t be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound (and i’m not a biter!). I also had an ear problem that involved a large polyp. The polyp was surgically removed and turned out to be malignant, but it has not returned in almost a year. I know there’s someone out there willing to take a chance on a sweet boy like me. Could it be you?
