Hi! My name is Papa Pooch and my brother’s name is Dicki! It’s so great to finally have a name. Before coming to the shelter, we lived with 10 other dogs in a very small space with lots of stuff. Our previous owners gave Dicki his name, but didn’t have one for me.

We love our trusted human friends at the shelter, but have a hard time learning to trust new people. Dicki’s a little braver than I am, but that’s because I taught him everything he knows. We’re not big fans of loud noises, strong winds or being left without each other. We absolutely love to play with other dogs off-leash-it’s what we live for! We feel so lucky to get to play with our small dog friends four times a week at the shelter, so if you have another dog for us to play with and show us the ropes, then that would be great. If you could adopt both of us together then that would be even better.

In addition to playing, we also enjoy quiet time with our humans where we can sit in their laps and get gentle pets while they feed us delicious chunks of chicken. It may seem like we ask for a lot, but we’ve had a rough life thus far. Hopefully you agree that a little pampering is in order.
