Description:
Hello, my name is Pollo. Silly name, but I’m actually a handsome 3-year-old, 50lb Terrier/American Pit Bull mix. I was discovered roaming the streets of Houston all alone at night in January 2017. Fortunately, I found a foster family that could take great care of me.
I learned commands like sit, stay, lie down, and kennel and am now fully house trained. I love to cuddle, but am also full of energy and athletic. Unfortunately, I had to leave my foster home, and none of my fosters after that were able to work out because I have a hard time getting along with other animals. I’ve been at a full-immersion board and train program since April where I’ve learned a lot about being a member of the pack and have done very well. This environment has been great for me, but unfortunately, it’s hard to replicate and so adoptions have fallen through.
I really need someone who can provide structure and continued training. Without that structure, it will be tough for me to be in a home with any other pets without showing some aggressive behavior to them. It’s also for the best that I’m not in a home with little kids because their unpredictability is not good for a guy like me. I’m looking for a family that will help me grow into my potential and love me very much!
