Description:
Hello! My name is Rosemary and I may be the gentlest, most affectionate kitty you will ever meet. You see, I am an elderly lady and not only have had years of practice in cuddling, but am at an age where I expect and need all the affection I can get. My preference is for laps, but if you are busy with a computer or cooking or knitting, I am also content to hang out in a nearby comfy spot, so long as it’s as close to you as possible. I’ll chirp at you occasionally though, just to seek reassurance that you’re there and haven’t forgotten me (I was abandoned once, you see). And I’ll take as many body rubs and chin scratches as you’re willing to give! If you have to go elsewhere for a bit, then I’ll be content with a soft, warm bed in a sunny window or one with a heating pad that will feel good on achy bones. And when you come back, I’ll greet you loudly and give you purrs that you will hear across the room. To top off all these good things, I’m a Manx kitty! All I have for a tail is a wisp of fluff.
Sadly, my advanced age also has its downsides. I’m boney and a bit arthritic for example, though it’s not too bad and I can get around okay. I take medicine for it, and I need some help getting up to desirable napping spots-steps or a lift are nice. I also have specific tastes in food, but fortunately, it is inexpensive.
Cat Adoption Team’s hospital staff has taken care of my health issues and I’m now living with a foster family until I find that special someone. Other cats are upsetting for me and dogs would probably be a no as well. What I’d really prefer is a calm and quiet home of my own (an apartment would be fine). I don’t require much space, but I do need a warm lap and a little chin scratching. If you can provide that, and understand that I’m no longer a youngster, I will give you unlimited purrs, affection, and love that you will never forget!
