Description:

My name is Sawyer. I’m buff-orange tabby and I am mostly blind. Despite this challenge, my hearing and keen sense of awareness help me find my way around very well! I’m a content kitty, not at all demanding, and find my food, litter box, bed and loved ones confidently without running into obstacles. I’m counting on you to help me out, please, by keeping my necessities accessible and in their place—and refraining from rearranging the furniture or changing my environment too often!

My eyes have a condition called anisocoria, which simply means that my one pupil is larger than the other. It’s likely congenital, as the ophthalmologist found no obvious trauma to my eyes, and the condition has been with me since kitten-hood. I see some light, but it’s difficult for me to tell my caregivers how much. I thrive best in a calm atmosphere without sudden or loud noises to frighten or disorient me. I am a bit wobbly when I walk, run and play, but I’m a relaxed, affectionate kitty. Once I know who you are, I willingly come over at the sound of your voice for my share of petting, loving, and brushing.

Guess what? I have a bonus package! My sister, Shiloh, and I are bonded siblings—Shiloh is a brown/black tabby with a white chest. Shiloh loves belly rubs and has no qualms about rubbing up against people she’s just met. Her eyesight is normal so she not only watches over me when I walk about, but she cuddles and sleeps with me, too! When she washes my face and ears, we are just TOO CUTE!

Shiloh and I need a home and family willing to learn about, accept and accommodate my vision challenges. In return, you’ll be rewarded with two bundles of gentle love and playfulness. Please view this touching video to see what’s in store for you here!
