My name is Sheena. I’m a quiet and independent older girl who would love to find my forever home. I don’t mind having other kitties around, as long as they leave me alone and let me have my space. When I’m feeling lovey, I’ll purr if you pet my head and scratch that special spot behind my ears. Sometimes, I might even decide to come over and rub against your leg! I love playing with water, especially when it’s dribbling out of a faucet. Also, treats and catnip are my favorite things ever. If you bring me some of those, I might sit up on my hind legs or start purring!

I’ve slowed down a bit in the last few months, but that’s mostly because walking seems to hurt a lot more than it used to. Some days I feel especially aloof, and I get grouchy if people don’t respect my boundaries. Most people don’t seem to understand that I generally like to have my space, which I think is why I’ve had such a hard time finding my forever home. I’ll need some help maintaining my long black fur, since I’m a not great about grooming and it matts easily. Furry Friends has been keeping my fur healthy with a lion haircut, which helps a lot. I’d be happiest in a quiet, adult-only home where I can have plenty of space to relax in a comfy bed or warm sunspot. Aside from needing regular haircuts, I’m a very low-maintenance and independent kind of girl. Might there be some space in your home for me?
