Description:

Between you and me, I thought I was a goner. I don’t know what happened, but before I knew it, I was homeless! Yeah, like all those people living under bridges, homeless!

It’s hard to maintain catly style under those conditions. Not only had my teeth gone south on me, very painful, but I was hungry, thirsty and frankly, at my wits end. I was hanging around the Sheridan Car Wash when this Cat Angel Lady found me, all skinny, scraggly, anemic from all the fleas, ears full of mites, and that will drive a kitty nuts after a while. My Cat Angel Lady called for help and then— rescue! What a relief!

After flea baths (fleas all gone), ear treatment (mites all gone), time to let my blood get stronger and tooth surgery, I felt so much better! I gained 3 lbs in 2 months. Oh, and this is a little embarrassing, but they also neutered me.

I’m currently living with my foster mom, who likes it when I climb up and snuggle in her lap while we watch TV. I’m doing great, but I do need to find my forever home. It’s true I’m a little old at 13 years, but I’ve known cats that have lived much longer when they are loved and cared for, so what do you think? My story was sad, but it’s all turning around now. Come see how very, very handsome and loving I am, and how wonderful it is to be a Cat Angel. Ready to earn your wings? Because I sure am ready for my happy-ending!

Notes from our sponsor: All Slinky needs now is an indoor home where he can work through his emotional scars from his days on the streets of Sheridan. He adores his foster brother, and greets him with loving cat noises when he sees him. He will thrive in a quiet home with patient humans and siblings, but is best without children as his past trouble has created a fear of being picked up. In addition to what Slinky told you, he’s been micro-chipped, FIV/FeLV tested and is UTD on all vaccines. There is a $45 re-homing fee. A prior recent adoption did not work out due to being left outdoors, so a safe indoor home is the best solution for this wonderful, ready to be loved, fuzz-face. He’d really, really love a catio however, where he could bathe in the sun—that would be the cat’s meow! Contact Cat Angel Becky by phoning or texting at 503-422-9455.
