Description:

My name is Sullivan, Sully for short. I am about 5 years old, pit/boxer mix and housebroken. I was rescued by the Brevard County Sheriff’s department in March of 2015. They pulled me from a drug/dog fighting ring. I am pretty sure I was in a home before and got lost or taken b dog fighting people as I am housebroken (dog fighters don’t housebreak their dogs).

I was probably with a family and then thrown into a world of violence and evil. I suffer from a great deal of PTSD, it causes me to be very fearful of any new people or environment. I think the dog fighting people were grooming me to be a bait dog and I have a few scares. I was probably kept in a dark cage. Friends for Animals Sanctuary rescued me about 2 years ago and I have been adopted 3 times. I was given back all 3 times of no fault of my own. The first time I was a 12-year-old boys best friend and 1 day the parents decided he couldn’t have me anymore and gave me back. The second time I was with a nice couple and then they got a divorce and neither wanted me. The third time I was with a great lady but then her brother had hard-times and had to move in. They had little kids so she gave me back. Something bad must have happened to me with kids under 12 for me to not like them.

It takes about 2 weeks for me trust and then I become the most lovable couch potato you could imagine. Friends for animals Sanctuary sent me to an Animal behaviorist. They found out I could be with other dogs if they were non-aggressive, non-submissive happy go lucky dogs. I had a best friend there and he was a Doberman!! I just want someone to love me. I will be your best friend and companion!
